Writing an all-text Bugtown novel afforded Howarth the opportunity to delve deeper into aspects of Bugtown and the characters who dwell there or frequent its cursed streets. Concepts and events previously only briefly mentioned in the Bugtown comicbooks are the subject of closer examination and more-detailed revelation for the readers.

Along the way they will encounter a mysterious prairie traveler and his opinionated two-headed cat...and adventure, monsters, romance, and deadly threats.
