CONRAD SCHNITZLER & MATT HOWARTH: MOON MUMMY
In the early 1970s, Conrad Schnitzler was an original member of Tangerine Dream and Kluster, convincing both bands to “go electronic.”
In 1984, Schnitzler joined Howarth’s fictitious band the Bulldaggers and guest starred in countless comics and graphic novels by Howarth. In the late 1980s, Howarth did the cover art for Schnitzler’s “Concert” album and several cassette tape releases. After a conjoined history of nearly two decades, Schnitzler and Howarth have finally conspired to produce a remarkable fusion of thrilling electronic music and offbeat SF storytelling--in MOON MUMMY.

The story: the discovery of an alien tomb inside an asteroid sparks a controversial study that ends up leaking out into popular culture with amusing results.
63 minutes of music by Schnitzler, and a 15 page full color comic strip (in PDF format) by Howarth. Dramatic cover art by Howarth, too.

Digital Keif Llama comics - Adobe PDF format, available for immediate download, exclusively through PayPal

KEIF LLAMA: XENOTECH
The Original Six-Issue Comicbook Series is now a Nine-Issue Series of Graphic E-books! With 3 never-before published issues!

In a galaxy overcrowded with alien civilizations (some of them so different that communication between them is highly problematic), three things are required for these civilizations to productively interact:

A Faster-Than-Light propulsion drive--you'd be surprised how many of these there are.

An all-purpose translation device--which was achieved nearly a century ago with the development of the Beal Vocoder Unit (popularly known as a xenocoder). This device not only modulates sound waves, but handles a full range of sensory modes (light, olfactory, subsonic vibrations, magnetic and gravitic pulses, and new models even feature quantum motion sensors).

The ability to comprehend the thought process of wildly exotic alien species. This is the most important thing of all. Communication is easy; understanding is hard. (How can a human really understand the urge to spin that is experienced in the third session by the Nirrur slimemold that grows on the fusionballs of Frolix 8?) The ability to think like other species is a rare and galactically valuable gift. Those who are capable of this are called xenotechs.

Keif Llama is a young girl xenotech. She works for Confed, the galactic government. Her assignments are exotic, bewildering, and often frustrating, for Keif's employers do not always agree with her altruistic solutions.

These digital editions include new text pages, giving author's insights into the stories.

SNEAKERNET

There's this innocent computer programmer, and he's devised an impressive digital refinement that'll revolutionize the Electronic Age and make him fabulous rich. All he has to do is survive until he can register the patent...which won't be easy because everybody is out to steal it--including the Post Bros.

Let's give it a few twists--let's have both Post Bros separately pursuing the same caper, unknowingly clashing and screwing up each other's schemes. Let's toss in a mysterious agency that's taping everything the Post Bros are doing and selling their unauthorized adventures on DVDs. Then there's a covert government department who accidentally finds themselves able to order around Ron Post like a helpless zombie killing machine. Meanwhile Russ gets caught up trying to track down an ex-lover. And look out--she's working against him.

This lunatic adventure has it all: Duplicitous romance. Psychotic violence. Wicked humor. Economic struggles that cross interdimensional boundaries. Witless pizza delivery boys. The surprise return of WRAB. Tropical vacations. Cyberspace duels. Red rooms and fanatical cultists. A cross-country roadtrip killing spree. And Monsieur Boche is out to avenge 9/11.

Meanwhile, Savage Henry embarks on a series of Intentional Mutation concerts, with guest appearances by real world musicians: Nash the Slash, Michael Chocholak, Paul Ellis, Mike Metlay, Carl Howard (aka Nomuzic), and Paul Williams (from Quarkspace).

POISONOUS CIRCLES

Three Bugtown tales: two twisted shorts and one extremely demented short novel. See what happens to Los Angeles when the Post Bros tangle with a villainous voodoo cult in "L.A. Differential." See how Savage Henry and ambient musician Steve Roach spend an afternoon finding life in a supposedly barren landscape in "Sporadic Motion" (includes a piece of full color art. And experience the completely outrageous "what if" revisionism that ensues when a wish gets granted in Bugtown, and Ron Post and Hiroshima never became lovers and have continued their reality-shattering war for the last two decades, making Bugtown even more dangerous than ever...in "Nucular Reconstructive."

INDUCED LABOR

What happens when the Post Bros. kidnap a baby deity? The bad boys of Bugtown decide to auction their stolen prize to the highest bidder...regardless of the consequences. And, damn, there are consequences! Like a Post Bro. getting pregnant. And why are the Bulldaggers reuniting after a year apart? Will the Lord C'Thulu discover Monsieur Boche's devious hidden scheme? And what about the innocent little witch who finds herself suddenly stranded in Bugtown and up to her neck in the whole mess?

Writing an all-text Bugtown novel afforded Howarth the opportunity to delve deeper into aspects of Bugtown and the characters who dwell there or frequent its cursed streets. Concepts and events previously only briefly mentioned in the Bugtown comicbooks are the subject of closer examination and more-detailed revelation for the readers.

Warning: INDUCED LABOR contains scenes of extreme and deviant violence which some people are guaranteed to find objectionable...exactly the type of stuff you expect from the Post Bros. INDUCED LABOR is intended for mature audiences.

INDUCED LABOR is roughly 184 pages long (or roughly 68,000 words, depending on how you want to consider it). This novel includes no artwork, keeping this excursion into weirdness purely literary.
